There will be a brief reception for Bishop Fisher after the service and then he will meet with the Vestry at 12:30 PM.
DONATION FOR CPS RAINBOW ROOM: The outreach committee will begin taking up donations each week for the rainbow room. This is a room which has much needed items for children and youth removed from home with no more than the clothes on their backs. Workers, and foster care families can visit the room to get items such as clothes, diapers, toiletries, toys, books, etc. The youth group decorated a nice donation bin that will be set in the narthex which you can place items to go to the Rainbow Room. Right now their biggest need is clothes, shoes (especially sizes for teens) flip-flop sandals, underwear, diapers, diaper wipes, and baby formula. If you would like to donate some of these items or other needed items you can bring them with you to church and place them in the Rainbow Room Donation Bin. For more information please contact Fr. Andrew.
ALTAR FLOWERS: Do you want to give the altar flowers for a Sunday but $76 is a bit much for your budget? How about splitting the cost. We will now accept shared donations. If you have a date in mind and want to donate part of the flowers call the office and let us know. The cost of half the flowers is $38.
ALTAR GUILD: The Altar Guild is in need of new members. ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED WE NEED NEW TEAM MEMBERS, LET THE OFFICE KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AT 903-938-4246.
COFFEE AND COOKIE HOUR: We are looking for some kind heart folks to help with the Coffee and Cookie Hour after the 10:30 Am Service on Sundays. If you are will to help contact Sherry Henderson or the Parish Office.
HEARING ASSISTANCE: Some of our parishioners have difficulty hearing the service. Trinity has 4 audio sets for those who have this difficulty. They are located in the charger by the sound console at the rear of the church. If you need some help hearing what is taking place feel free to use one of the headsets to help you hear. Just be sure to place it back in the charger at the end of the service.
ADULT CHRISTIAN FORMATION:
SUNDAY: ADULT CHRISTIAN FORMATION CLASSES:
SUNDAY: Adult classes will begin at 9:30 AM
WANT TO JOIN THE CHURCH? CONFIRMATION AND RECEPTION CLASS WILL BEGIN ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH AND RUN FOR 7 WEEKS. The only requirement for this class is to have been Baptized. If an individual has not been baptized, arrangements form baptism will be scheduled. This class covers the Christian faith and living as a disciple of Christ. If you are interested in joining the church call the parish office at 903-938-4246 to register prior to August 19th.
The Epistle to the Ephesians: The New Testament church at Ephesus was planted by the apostle Paul on his 2nd Missionary Journey. Later, while he was imprisoned in Rome, Paul wrote this letter to the young church. The theme of the book is God’s eternal purpose in establishing and completing the Church of Jesus Christ, and it nearly bursts at the seams with life-changing doctrine. All those who are in Christ are a part of His church. This study begins at 9:30 am in Fry Hall, and will be taught by Robert Perkins. Come join us and see how you fit into the “one, holy, catholic and apostolic church”. We assure you there is a place for YOU.
Brotherhood of St. Andrew Bible Study: This bi-weekly study is open to all men of the parish it takes place at Jucy’s and is over prior to 1:00 PM. Each class is a stand-alone class so if you miss one, you can attend and not feel like you are out in the cold.
WE CAN USE SOME HELP: There are currently two ministries that could use some extra help.
Breakfast Cooks: There is a need for one additional family to volunteer to do breakfast. If you are feeling called to this ministry and would like additional information, see Fr. John, Vince Godinich, or Mike DeSa.
Altar Guild: The Altar Guild is looking for ladies to help prepare for our regular services. This ministry is absolutely vital in the worship we celebrate. The Altar Guild helps prepare the Altar and other aspects of our worship. The ladies presently involved do a wonderful service for all of us. Sadly, some of our Altar Guild has had to slow down some of their activities. This has created an ever greater need for new members for the Altar Guild. I would ask the ladies of the parish to pray to discern if they might be called to serve the Lord through this ministry. If you are willing to help with this ministry please contact Fr. John 903-938-4246 or Fr_John_Himes@hotmail.com
Ushers: This is a vital welcoming ministry of the church. Ushers serve on Sundays throughout the year and are also asked to serve at funeral services. The ministry of Sunday focuses on welcoming newcomers. Ushers serving at funerals are reminder to all that at Trinity we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Ushers also assist with other special services during the course of the year. They are the first impression folks get of Trinity Church. If you would like to be involved with either one of those ministries please call Stacey in the parish office at 903-938-4246.
Youth Volunteers: The Youth Minister is looking for a number of volunteers than can help with youth events on a rotating basis if you like to be involved with a terrific group of young men and women call the office at 903-938-4246.
